Someone who loves animals, five minutes away
A walk, a stay or day care from a checked sitter in your own neighbourhood. Every day you get photos and a note from the person who is with your pet.
Enter a city, a service and your dates. Results are ordered by distance, and every card carries the exact one.
The sitter gets the request and answers yes or no. The closer the booking, the shorter they have to answer. If no answer comes, the money comes back to you.
From the moment the care starts you know how the day went. All of it stays with you after it has ended.
The five services
The updates are why you sleep at night
After every walk and every evening you get a note from the sitter, the activities they ticked and photos. The note is written by the person who is with your pet, not by a machine.
A map that moves while the walk is on. When it ends you see the path walked and how long it took, alongside the photos.
She finished her dinner, then spent half an hour chasing a toy down the hallway. She is asleep on the windowsill now and has not moved.
The money, with no surprises
The money reaches the sitter only after the care has finished. Until then it sits with Pawko and you always know where it is.
The amount is charged the moment you send the request, before the sitter answers.
The sitter accepted and the slot is yours.
The sitter declined or the request expired. The money goes back to your card, usually right away, though at some banks it can take a few days.
You started the request but the payment was never finished. The slot is held for a limited time.
If you cancel
While the request is still waiting for an answer, cancelling is free and needs no reason. Once the sitter accepts, their own cancellation policy applies.
What you pay on top of the sitter's price
Why you can trust us
Before they appear in search at all, every sitter goes through a check: ID, a call and a signed contract. The profile says whether they have animals of their own, whether there is a yard, and who else lives in the home.
Only an owner who has finished a care can rate it. The sitter may answer once, publicly, and that is all.
A rating of at least 4.80, over 90% of requests accepted, a reply inside two hours and not one active penalty point. The badge is lost automatically the moment one of the conditions stops being met.
If something goes wrong you report it and get an answer while the care is still running. If it is cut short, the unused part comes back as Pawko credit.
Questions we get
The moment you send the request, before the sitter answers. If they do not accept, or do not answer in time, the money comes back to you.
The whole amount comes back, fees included, and it costs you nothing. If they cancel mid-care, the unused part comes back as Pawko credit.
A conversation opens the moment you send the request, and that is where you arrange a meeting. Until then you have the profile and reviews from owners whose care has finished.
Money that sits with Pawko instead of going back to your card. You spend it on a next booking, with any sitter.
The cheapest way to see how this works. Forty minutes, one photo, and you already know whether the sitter suits you, before you leave your pet for a whole week.
